Freedom
Talk a little bit about the notion of freedom. What does it mean to you? Are you always free? If you are, how do you know? If you aren't, when are you not? How important is freedom in your life? Is there a such thing as too much? Too little? Where do you draw the line between the two? Include experiences in your answer. (150-200 words/35 pts)

"Home of the Free and land of the brave." Sure that is what they all say, too be free is to get up and do what you want wear what you want etc. No you are not always free, I know for a fact that there are times that I wish I was free and I'm not. I think that the reason that people aren't free is because of everyone's opinion. There is such a thing as called to much freedom or not enough. You see I have a friend of mine that has way to much freedom and has no responsibility at all. But you see she comes home whenever she wants and me on the other hand I have a curfew and everything and I can't always do the things that I want to. But I always take a step back and realize that the things that you do now and the responsibility you take on now will reflect on what you do later on in life. To me there is a line were to draw the two, but to me it is all about like the parents and how the kid is and you know as a parent if your child is bad or not. But I hate when you're like this reall smart student and your parents are on your case more and it never seems to go away. To me it doesn't make sense , when a parent has a kid that is wild they like don't care but when people have a good kid they are always on their butt.
To me freedom is the ability to do what ever you want when you want. If you don't want to take the trash out you have the freedom to make that desion. For the most part i think i am free. I know that i am free is beacuse we dont live in a communist government. Also because of my parents, They won't make me do my home work, they'll tell me i should do do. They give me the freedom to make that desion. I know to do it so i can get good grades in school then get in a good college. Freedom is a big part of my life, without it life would be boaring. If we didn't have freedom we wouldn't be able to go out and have fun. I don't think there is such a thing as to much freedom but there is people who abuse there freedom. There is deffinelty to little freedom in some situations. There is a fine line between to little and to much freedom. When i was little my cousin ford lived with us and we were inseperable. one day we were complaning that we had to eat carots for dinner. so my mom gave us the freedom to eat what ever we wanted for dinner for the next week. three day later we were sick and throwing up from all the junk food. Freedom means alot to me. It means that I don't live in fear about some dictator who may or may not let me live tomarow.No because there are situations that you are not supposed to be free like if you camit a crime you arte stripped of most of your freedom and if you get in troubble you loose some freedom like hanging out with your freinds.Freedom is very important in my life because people can't just tell me to do something and I have no choise but to do it because I'm their slave.I have the right to refuse to do what they say and can not be forced to if I don't want to.Yes there is a such thing as too much freedom.Too much would be chaose and crime.There is a such thing as too little also.Slavery is an example of that.I draw the line between having freedom but not being able to do anything wrong and not get away with it and doing work but not being a slave.
Freedom means a lot to me, even though I don’t always have complete freedom. I think that is why freedom means so much to me. I have to earn my freedom it is not just handed to me on a silver platter. When I have my own freedom I’m allowed to go out. My mom doesn’t really give me a curfew. All she wants to know is where I am and who I’m with. She knows that I’m responsible enough to make my own decisions. However if I do something wrong like maybe not doing what I was asked to do, I might not be able to go out when I ask. Otherwise for the most part I’m pretty much allowed to go where I went if I do what I am suppose to and if I ask. I do think there is such a thing as too much and too little freedom. My friend for example has too little freedom. Her dad won’t let her do anything. She is my next door neighbor and we have known each other all our lives. Her father and my grandfather knew each other since they were growing up. Despite all that she is not allowed to sleepover my house. She always is not allowed to walk up our street by herself or go to the movies at night or on a Friday. That I believe is a little ridiculous. However there are some people with too much freedom. People who go where ever with whoever whenever they want, without having to ask permission. I think the freedom I’m allowed is good. If someone behaves does what they are asked and asks why shouldn’t they be allowed to do what they want? Only if they are responsible with their freedom, of course.
Freedom is a big thing. apparently the U.S.A. is a free country but then again there is a lot of laws. all in all i guess where free depending on the rules that parents set for us, for example curfews parents set or if parents tell you what your allowed and not allowed to do, who you are and aren't allowed to hangout with, i have one friend who really isn't allowed to do anything with his life and i think thats to less freedom because he was not allowed to do anything he went out and got himself arrested. But do think there is such thing as too much freedom because with too much it could lead to anarchy, and with too little could lead to a real uptight society.
Freedom means a lot to me since I get good amounts of it, sike. My parents allow me to have freedom but never to much where they can not keep track of me. My parents are very protective so I don’t always get the freedom I want and it doesn’t have to be anything big it could just be going to a party and they wouldn’t let me go. I do get freedom, not saying I don’t but I get very limited freedom if you get what im saying. My parents trust me but they don’t always trust the people around me so I don’t really get the freedom I need as a teen or even want. There is a thing as to much freedom, to much freedom is where the person is totally out of control and can’t stop themselves of rather wont stop themselves and they just get out of control. There is definitely a thing as too little freedom I know from experience that too little freedom can drive someone crazy, but you gatta deal with it as it comes your way.
Freedom means that you can wake up in the morning and do whatever you want. We are not always free and that is the way it should stay. Being completely free means that you can do whatever you want whenever you want which could mean having your own religion or it could be extreme and mean you can kill people who are not your religion. The freedoms that we have now are good, but there should always be a limit to freedom. There is too much freedom sometimes. If you can get out of jail by paying money that is too much freedom. I draw the line when you go from helping yourself to hurting others. I have once been caught breaking curfew. This is a good limit on freedom because it is put there to protect me.

Freedom is both a right & a priviledge. How so? Well, I think freedom is something we should all have access to, but there are limits to such (i.e. Laws...), it is something we may take for granted. To abuse our right of freedom is not correct, however, how are we to decide whether something is either too extreme or not? This is a good question, & the answer varies on your opinion.
To me, personally, I feel that we, as individuals, should be able to do what we feel right, as long as that doesnt involve hurting ourselves or others. There are people with too much freedom in their lives, & unfortunately, sometimes these people view themselves differently as others & feel their freedom is extended. There is also such a thing as too little freedom, yes. Look at other countries, for example; compared to some rights found in other continents & countries, We (U.S. residents) practically have all-out freedom. I dont think I can recall any standout experiences as of now, but I do believe that freedom is something that should be handled with care...
Freedom is living with no boudaries whatsoever. I believe that no one is ever truly free;however, there is such a thing as having more or less. America grants citizens their basic himan rights, but we know which lines not to cross in order to avoid consequences. If our country didn't provide us with guidelines and offered us all freedoms, I think that we would fall apart due to fighting, crime, etc. On a smaller scale the way parents raise there children is a big factor. I noticed that parents who do not give their child guidelines and do not provide them with morals to live by, they will end up in bad situations. My family has given me enough freedom to make my own choices, but not enough to go out in fear of me making a bad one. I am happy to have some freedoms but not all because it has made me a better person by showing me things do ont always go my way and sometimes i have to withstand another persons expectations.
Freedom is the ability to live and make choices in your life that are right for you. Although, with freedom comes responsibility. With freedom comes the chance to make your life the best you can, however you’re decisions are all your own and you could ruin your life and others lives if you make the wrong ones. I don't think anyone has freedom until they are on they're own and supporting themselves. Yes of course some will say the government takes away freedom with laws and such, but these laws are necessary for all the people in our country that can’t be trusted with complete freedom. In my house my parents try and have the right to make most decisions, I suppose. However, I still do have freedom. I'll know I'm free when I'm living my life the way I want and doing what I know is right for me. I think freedom shouldn't be giving to everyone. I think freedom needs to be earned. I don't think there is such a thing as too much freedom unless that person can't handle that freedom. I also don't think there can be too little freedom unless that person deserves and can be trusted with more. People who are dangerous to themselves and others shouldn't have as much freedom since they obviously can't make very wise decisions. In my life right now I think I should have more freedom. I know the difference between what's right and wrong and if I make a mistake I'll admit it and try to fix it. However, there are kids I know that shouldn't receive so much freedom. They abuse it and make wrong decisions.
Freedom to me can be interpreted in many different ways. Here in America we have freedoms that many other countries don’t even know they should have too. Freedom is something everyone should have but it should be limited in certain situations. I think that we are given freedoms but we are not always aloud to use them to the fullest. For example, in school if you have to use the bathroom and a teacher can say yes or no. I think that we should be aloud to have the freedom to just go to the bathroom whenever we want. We can’t help that we need to go and I don’t think teachers should tell us if we can or cannot leave the classroom. I think that I have just enough freedom. I can do what I like to do for the most part. My parents allow me to do things and help me out and there are times when they put their foot down but I mainly have all the freedom I could ask for. When I lived with my mom I had no freedom and I wasn’t aloud to do anything. She always kept me home and I would get in trouble for things I didn’t do. Now that I live with my dad things are different and I have, sometimes more freedom than I think I should have. I think that there can be too much and too little freedom. when your parents dont know where you are what your doing who your with and they could care less and all this crap ends up happening in your life and they dont even know about it. too little freedom is when like your parents wont let you do anything until your homework is done,you clean,they only let you talk on the phone and computer for a little bit of time. and basically you cant do the little things in life that you should be aloud to do everyday. for me im in between right now and im happy with the amount of freedom i recieve but sometimes it deff. can be too much.
Freedom to me means the right to do what you want in your life. No, I am not always free. I have to obey rules all the time. I can't do what I want, and if i do, i have to ask permission to do so first. The only time I am free is when I am doing things that you do not need permission to do, like writing and speaking. Like when I am having a bad day, I whip out my notebook and write away. I do not have to ask to do that, because it is not a major thing. When I turn eighteen, I will mostly be free, but not completely free because you have to obey the laws of the government. Freedom is really important to me. I hate not being able to do what I want to do. I want to be able to do what I want to do, when I want to do it, like go shopping without asking for permission to go. For right now, parents control their childrens lives until they grow up to be independent. I want to be independent right now. I do not like having someone else incharge of my life. It really does suck. There is a such thing as too much freedom. There are many kids that have too much freedom. These kids basically do whatever they want all the time. Most of these kids end up doing the wrong things. Some get involved in drugs, some get involved with the wrong people and end up in trouble a lot. The take advantage of the freedom that they have. There is also such a thing as not enough freedom. I have some friends that are not allowed to sleep over their friends houses that their parents do not know, and their friends are also not allowed to sleep over their houses. I think it is kind of ridiculous but a lot of parents are just that protective. The freedoms I have is perfectly equal on both sides. I couldn't ask for any more. I don't have too much freedom or not enough. I love it.
Freedom is something that everybody thinks they have or they don't have. For me freedom is all about being able to have your own opinions and thoughts, being able to make big decisions for your life, and able to be recognize as just you and not someone else. This is the ways I see freedom because I have all of these. I have parents that tell me/allow me to make my own decisions and to follow my own path in life. Teenagers today complain that they have to freedom because their parents have them on a curfew. I say that being able to stay out till whatever time is a privelege. Maybe it hasn't occured to them that they are on a curfew because of the way they act or the fact that they're not responsible. I'm consider myself among the lucky ones to have "freedom" most of the time. My parents know that I'm a responsible person that knows how to take care of herself. Whenever I ask to go out somewhere, they always say ok, just make sure you have your phone with you. On the last cruise that I took to PR and other places, I hardly ever saw my parents. I was just chillin with other people around my age. The only I did see my parents was when it was breakfast and dinnertime. The whole time we were on the cruise I was out until like 2am up at the track,in the gameroom, or just chillin somewhere else. I think that if I didn't have freedom, I would lose my mind. I need my own space to think and just do whatever. Do I think that there is a such thing as too much freedom? Yes, I think there is such a thing. Some parents don't care about what their children are doing and that causes the kids to get out of hand. When their parents do decide to actually try and be a parent, their kids are not used to them acting that way. I think that everybody deserves freedom on some level but you do have to draw the line somewhere. I think that as you get older and gain more sense and knowlege you should be able to have more freedom.
Freedom is very important in my life and I am very fortunate that I am free. I know that freedom is important to a lot of people. Through history, it is proven that freedom is important because of the number of people and groups that have fought for freedom and rights, such as African Americans and women. My definition of freedom would be to be able to go about doing things with no regulations. This also means that as much as everybody says that we are free, we are not. Laws are something that prohibit people from doing things, they might of have done without them. If we were completely free, we wouldn’t have things such as laws. People would have too much freedom. Too little freedom is also bad. People need to be able to express themselves and if we have too many restrictions, we would feel as if we were living life as other people wanted us to live. The line between too much freedom and too little freedom is safety. I would rather be safe than to have too much freedom.
freedom means you can be who you want to be,do freely what you please,etc.i presonally dont think i have alot of freedom all though the ammendments are in existance the government bends the rules to make you look like you did or something wrong even if you were and you just stating your opinion.like i would know when im not being granted one of my freedoms for example, if i said i hated the president to his face and he just had me arrested.thats taking away my freedom of speech.freedom is very imporant.if i had no freedom it would be as though i was back in the 1800's when their were slaves.there is never too much as too much freedom.like if your parents let you do whatever you wanted that means they trust you not so much of you having freedom.too little freedom there is such a thing.when all your rights are takin from you. i really cant draw a line because i want as much freedom as possible.too little freedom would be when i cant do anything i want to do at all,basically because im a free spirit.
Freedom is your status at law. Your nationality and the birthrights that goes along with that nationality determines your status at law.As in Internationl Law/Universal Law(the rights of the child). Freedom to me is the rights in which you have and certain things you are able to take part in. I love having my freedom of speech, being able to say certain things I feel. In reality the people,us, really dont exercise that right. Example: the musicians and artist are denied the first amendment and many more. The powers at be(The Government) and all its agents take oath to uphold the Constitution and the 10 Bill of Rights. They continously pass new laws which superceed the Constitution. Freedom is an important role in my life. I feel as though the powers at be does not practice what they preach. To me there is no difference. Either you have freedom or you dont, there is no too much or too little. When you proclaim your nationality this determines if you have freedom or not! Everyone is created equal which means everyone came from the womb,(created naturally). This entry is from direct information. I think Freedom to me is liberty; the sense of being on your own and try to make choices and have rights. To have the freedom of speech and be able to express your emotions is the best. Thefact that you dislike or like something and be able to tell someone without worrying about what you say or do. There is such thing as too much freedom for examplke at the age of 15 being outside until 2am is too much freedom. Then again there is such thing as too little as freedom not going out to the movies without an adult at the age of 15 since a little over protective.
Freedom to me is everything. Its means to me that you can do what you want. Instead of being told to. I mean, my parents tell me things i have to do but its different from back then. Kids these days can most likely do what they want like hang out with friends, go places, wearing the clothes you bought/picked out. They're so many things you can do these days and it means so much to me that i can do what i want, have fun. They're could be so much because they're parents that let their kids do what they want, the parents and child are friends when really they should step in tell them right from wrong. There also is too little because you could have strict parents that wont let you do several stuff like hangout with your friends without a parent there, or even allowed to go to they're friends houses. I think the fine line with having too much freedom is not be the better person and being the parents, you're being their friend because you want them to like you but you have to let your kids hate you sometime in life because then later on they'll see that they did it to protect you from other things, bad influence. The fine line between too little is you're not letting them have fun and when they get older they're going to rebel and could do somethings that they think are fun but in reality they're ruining their lives.
a long time ago people had decided what was freedom. Like freedom of speech or freedom of the slaves. but today freedom is not so much freedom there are many laws and rules you have to follow even under your parent's roof. so it makes me wonder what does freedom really mean? as time and generation went by you notice that freedom gets more strict. I as an indivisual is not always free. There are certain age limit to all the fun places, there is a certain age that you are allowed to drop out of school,a certain age you are allowed to get your licenses, and even the state give you a curfew. But thats not all then you have to deal with all the rules your parents give you because until you are 18 you belong to them and if you dont listen to them you get sent to boot camp. Freedom is very limited to me my parents are very old fashion sometimes when i go out i have to come back home in three hour, i am not allowed to got out with boys, i am not allowed to sleep over my friends's house, and i'm not allowed to talk on the phone after 10pm or even barely go out on school night, if i do it is because i have to do important errens. I am 18 now and still i have to follow these rules except for me not allowed to go out with boys but still the rest applies to me or less they kick me out!I think freedom is very important to me because when parents keep you on lock down to much you don't get to experience alot of things and then you are out on your own and you become new to things and you can't really protect yourself and some people become party animals and interact with different things that leads to bad things. when i started to hang out with my boyfriend i felt so out of place with the timeline he took me places i've never heard of he told me things in the world i never knew he even told me in advance how guy are and why they do what they do. and way much more. you just sometimes have to soak up the outside world and experience.i do beleive in too much freedom. parents can't have there kids living there life with out any morals or responsibilities, because it is very important that they do. they have to have a certain dicipline because at the end they can determine whats wrong and right and choose the right path when the are on their own. they would appreciate it on the long run. you have to draw the line when kids are making there party activities permanant and they dont listen to you no more. when they can't decide whats best for them mo more, or when they are soaking up a little to much of the outside world.you also have to draw the line when there is to little freedom when they don't know nothing and they start to feel depressed because all they know are the four walls that surounds them. My cosins are always on lock down they never go out and they live very lonley lives. they feel depressed all the time because they can't over rule their parent's decisions so they have no choice. i feel bad for them because when they do get out i don't want them to go crazy fun.
Freedom to me means for you to be able to do whatever you want without consequence or punishment as long as that action doesn't break any laws. For me, I'm always free whether its at school or at home. No one is forcing me to do anything, if i dont want to do something at home and im being forced to do it and then do it. I do it because i have the freedom to choose whether to do it and live in this house or not do it and live on the streets. At school i do my work because i know eventually it will pay off, i dont do work because some teacher, principal, vice-principal, or police officer tells me to do it. Im at school for myself and if i dont want to do what Im supposed to do there then i will leave and it shouldnt matter to the people telling me do it because its no longer their problem. Freedom is important for me since everything i do is my own choice whether or not people want to believe it. If they dont want to believe, they have the freedom to do so. My way of looking at freedom, there isnt any degrees of it, there is only absolute freedom and the choice to do something that others want you to do. For example when we have our discussions in class about our journal prompts, i can decide whether or not i want to share my ideas, thoughts, or experiences on it. If i dont want to talk about it, no one can force me to speak and if theres a consequence for doing so then so be it, but i have the freedom not to do it and i chose not to and nothing will change that fact. Everything i do is entirely up to me and if anyone says otherwise they can shove it because they cant make me do anything i dont want. Someone wants me to do something and has a gun to my head, go ahead and shoot ,because if your going to be there a long time. They would wait there with a gun pointed at me until i do so that person will be there until they die, fall asleep and get beat up by me, or shoot me. Heck if someone shoots me for not doing something they want so be it, at least in the end i had my freedom to choose and no longer have to deal with ignorant people that think they can control me the way they want.
BEING FREE IS DOING WHAT YOU WANT WITHOUT BEING TOLD TO DO DIFFERENT. FREEDOM IS IMPORTANT TO ME. I THINK I HAVE TOO LITTLE FREEDOM THOUGH BECAUSE MY PARENTS ARE OVERPROTECTIVE. FOR EXAMPLE, NO ONE CAN PICK ME UP AND TAKE ME PLACES. MY PARENTS HAVE TO TAKE ME OR I WON'T BE ABLE TO GO. THEY NEED TO LEARN THAT I AM OLD ENOUGH AND MATURE ENOUGH TO HANDLE WHATEVER I DO AND SOMETIMES ASK THEM FOR HELP. SOME PEOPLE HAVE TOO MUCH FREEDOM TOO. THAT IS NOT ALWAYS GOOD BECAUSE THEN THEY ABUSE IT. FOR EXAMPLE, PEOPLE THAT GO OUT UNTIL 3 IN THE MORNING AND THEIR PARENTS DON'T CARE HAVE TOO MUCH FREEDOM. WHEN PARENTS DON'T CARE, THEN THEY JUST LETTING THEIR KIDS ENTER A WORLD THEY'RE NOT READY FOR. FREEDOM IS A PRIVELAGE. PEOPLE TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE FREEDOM THEY GET BECAUSE THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH IT. SOME PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD WOULD LIKE TO BE FREE LIKE THE U.S. THEY DON'T HAVE THAT KIND OF LUXURY, IF YOU WANT TO CALL IT THAT. SOMETIMES I WISH I HAD JUST ENOUGH FREEDOM. THEN I THINK I WOULD HELP MY PARENTS MORE AND DO MORE THINGS BECAUSE WHY WOULD I DO THINGS IF I GET NOTHING OUT OF IT. YOU KNOW. I THINK THAT FREEDOM IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE I GOT TO BE HAPPY WITH THE LITTLE FREEDOM THAT I HAVE.
freedom to me means having a right to do what you want. im free but not at all the times. god, my parents, school staff, and the government are pretty much in control of my freedom so im not totally free because those people tell me what to do like what i can and can not say or what i can and cant wear. they tell me what to eat where to go what time i need to come in and even what to think. freedom is the most important thing in my life and world because thats what all "my people" worked for in their lifetime and we finally got it so i would say its pretty important. in certain places theres such a thing as too much freedom like in school. you (staff) cant just let students do what they wanted because if u did they’d be running wild throwing parties in the halls and fighting/smoking in the bathroom. but then again at places like your home you cant have too little freedom because after a while the child will have to express himself/herself maybe negatively and he/she (no homo) might curse out their parents or something like that (not talking about me;)).
Freedom means to me that you get to do an an almount of things that you are trusted about doing.Like gogin out with your friends.Iam not always free but I do have some freedom my mom lets me go out with my friends.She trusts me and lets me doing things outside of the house.Iam not when it comes to school and things that I really have to get done.Yes I think there is a thing such as to much because freedom because you sometimes want to be told what to do instead of just doing what you want all the time. I draw the line between to much because if my mom said that I can come in at no time whenever time I wanted to then I would get no where in life then again I would because I wouldnt want to say out all night and party. i believe that freedom is things you could do with out hiding it . if my parent gave me more freedom i woulnt be as bad but since they like to keep me in my house. i have to lie where im going . i hate doing that but i do waht i got to do .i draw the line when they do give me a time . i come really late . knowing that im gonna get in troublr but i dont care. i think that if i hadd more freedom my parent would understand me more . i think that freedom is very imporant in my life . i wish my parent could give me more freedom . if they did i would have to lie to them and do things behind their backs .i understand if i was bad but im not . that why teens are the way they are . if they keep on doing it its gonna get worst
Freedom is to not be owned by anyone. To be able to be who you want to be. What freedom means to me is to be free. Not have anyone tell you what to do all the time. I myself am not always free. I have to do what my parents and teachers tell me to do. Freedom is very important to me. I would hate to have someone tell me what do to all the time and if I was not to do what I was told I would get wiped or beaten. There is no such thing as to much freedom. There could be too little freedom
You draw the line between the two when you go around shooting people and saying you are free to do that. That is where you draw the line. One time me my cousin and his friend were sitting on his porch. These to people in the house across the street were being loud. We told theme to shut up. But they did not listen. Five minuets later the cops were at the house. We ran inside then came back outside. The woman was telling the cop that she was free to be as loud as she wanted to. The cars left and everything went back to normal.
Freedom is when you are allowed to do whatever it is that you want to do. Freedom has its pros and cons though. It is very important to me to have freedom because if we didn't have freedom, it would mean we would be in bondage of some sort. Although basically everyone in this country may beleive that everyone is free, it is not true. When you walk into school, you are watched by cameras the entire day. Everything you do is monitored by another, making sure you aren't doing anything wrong while in the hallways. When you walk into a store in the mall, the entire time, you are being watched by several cameras. Is that being free? No, it's not. When you walk into a grocery store, you are still being watched. Every single move you make is being monitored the entire time. It's actually weird; It's kind of crazy too. Free? Not! I could never walk into school without clothes on. Actually, I could,I have the choice to do whatever I want, but there would be major consequences to it all. I couldn't smack someone without getting in trouble. Basically the only freedom we have is freedom of speech; this is only to the government. You can't say whatever you want all the time. It isn't possible for me to walk up to my teacher, principal, or someone else, and curse them out. There would be major consequences to this. Freedom is very important in my life. But too much could be a bad thing. For example, I have a friend who does what ever she wants. She smokes, drinks, has sex, drives without a lisence, and even sells drugs. Her mother doesn't even care. This shows that she has way too much freedom. She get's F's in school, suspended every week, and dresses permiscuiously. It's really a shame. The fact that she had no curfew and does what she wants also shows a major lack of responsibility. This depicts too much freedom. When you have too little freedom, it puts in an entirely different state of mind. Thinking of too little freedom reminds me of slavery. There are some teen who have too little freedom. This mainly has to do with how strict parents may be. Both too little freedom and too much freedom could be bad things. The point where the line needs to be drawn is in the middle. This is where my freedom is when it comes to my parents. I have the freedom to do a lot, probably because of the fact that I'm spoiled. I can't do whatever I want, but I can do a few things. I love the amount of freedom I have. If I had more, I'd be a wild teen, but with too less, I'd go crazy. Freedom definitely has its limits.
Well having freedom is very good sometimes. Sometimes you want to be alone with no one bothering you. Or even if you want the freedom to go were ever you want with your parents not saying anything. Freedom is the ability to do what you want when you want how you want whenever you want. I have a few freedoms, but i would like alot more. I have the freedom to talk whenever i want but that does get me in trouble sometimes. Freedom to do something doesnt mean that its a good thing. Freedom is very important in my life because without it i would be very bored. Freedom is the chance to do what you feel. Being able to do what you want when you want to do it. No most of the time I am not free because one I can't usually ever do what I want. Second i'm at school most of the day so I don't really have a chance to go out, and even when I do I have to go watch my little sister. You can't just get up and walk out of the classroom when you feel like it so pretty much you aren't free at school, and like I said earlier when I get home I have to watch my little sister. Yes there is a such thing as to much and to little freedom. If we had to much frredom then most people would probably just get up and walk right out of class.Too little freedom is being able to go outside but then having to come back home at like five, to go watch your little sister. Freedom is a thing I think many of us take for granted. When you think about it there are many people out there in other countries who have no freedom at all. Freedom means a lot to me because it's not something everyone has and it would be hard to live without. I can't imagine what life would be like without it. I think im free all the time. To me being free means making my own choices and having the ability to do what I think is best for me. There is such a thing as too much freedom because there are parents who give there kids too much freedom. When your given more freedom you do everything you want and that sometimes leads to drugs or teen pregnances. Im not trying to say everyone but sometimes that does happen. I know someone who didnt get attention from here parnets and got all the freedom she wanted and now she has a baby, didnt graduate high school and is or was a prositute. That's just an example of what too much freedom can bring. There also is too little freedom like when your parents don't let you out at all and want to keep you in the house all the time. That also isn't good at all because the day that that person is given freedom they go all out and don't no what to do with it. One of my cousins was like that and when her parents gave her more freedom she got pregnant. So too me there isnt much of a line between the too. They both have there positve and there negetive sides. Either or can result in something good or bad because everyone needs their freedom once in a while because if you don't then you don't have time to really expierence life. =]
Freedom means a lot to me. But the sad truth is that we are not always free. I know this because I still see people getting into trouble for what they say. The amendments say that we are supposed to have freedom of speech but we don’t. If I say something bad about the president; even though he is dumb I would get into trouble for slander. The amendments help but not as much as it should. Being a young African American woman I cherish having some kind of freedom. I appreciate having freedoms because my early ancestors didn’t have it, so it means a lot to have it. There is a such thing as too much freedom, and that’s when people start going around acting senseless and killing others. And that’s why we have a place for bad people and that’s prison. There is also a such thing as to little freedom. That’s when people can’t do anything they want to do because someone is telling them no. Through experience though, I've learned that not enough causes confrontation. An example: I lived with my grandmom after my parents got divorced from the end of 3rd grade to the end of 6th. I was always angry because I didn't want anything to do with anyone. I lived in the same room as my mom, and yeah that wasn't fun. I pretty much had no privacy at all. I used to write in my diary under a blanket with a flashlight. I couldn't have my tv on too loud or watch it too much. My grandmom would always be on my case about going outside and to clean my room. Living in Weymouth was like I couldn't go anywhere because everything was too far away. Looking back at it now, I realize that I didn't know what to do with all those feelings, so I just kindof bottled it up for a long time and projected it on random people. To me freedom means being able to do what you want without getting in trouble or having anyone telling you that you cant do it. I dont think you are always free. This comes in to play with parents or when your at school or any place pretty much. In school as well as a lot of places you dont have tha complete freedom to do what ever you want. We have the kind of freedom that says u have the freedom of speech but why do you get in trouble in school when you say innapropriate things if we have the freedom to do so? Also lets say if you wanted to go to a party and your parents wont let you. You dont have the freedom to go. Thats why i think we are not always free. We have freedom to do simple things that will just get us through life like taking a shower or getting a job. I think that freedom is something that is important in the world. That story deals with both too much freedom and too little freedom because they gave me enough freedom to go out that far and then they didn't give me enough freedom to leave the court I lived in. Freedom means alot to me. i'm so happy that we're a free country. As, a teenager no, im not free becuase i have parents, and a household to live in with rules, and my freedom is limited because it. I'm normally not free because i go to schoool , and how much freedom do we get here ? not much and then i go home or diving. Freedom is important to me, and its nice to know if we're in a free country . there is such a thing as too much and too little freedom. kids with too much freedom normally dso bad things, and kids with too little freedom dont know what the worlds like. you have to be strict with the freedom but lienent too.
Freedom is a great thing. Although, we may think that we don't have freedom because of the rules we have to follow. However, the countries that aren't free have the rules that we have, and then some. We are far better off then they are because we don't have to worry about a crazy leader that will randomly select somebody to kill whenever he wanted to. I would rather live in the U.S. and follow the rules here and still have rights, than live in a place where they have really strict rules and almost no rights.
Anyway, i think that i have a sufficient amount of freedom. I can do most of the things i want, but the things that I am not allowed to do, sort of go against my morals in the first place. For an example of having to much freedom like, your parents not careing about if you go to school or not and you go out everyweekend and week and not do your homework and your parents think that you are just the greatest kid ever and they give you all this freedom to do what you want, well to me that child isn't the greatest kid and the parents aren't being realy parents, they just dont care about what their kids do or to even help them what they want to do in the future and go to school, to get their education, not to throw all that away. Theirs a difference with to much freedom and not enough freedom, when you loose almost everything, like if you were to have stricked parent, like when you want to go out on the weekends just to be with your friends, you dont get a chance to show your parents that you are responsable enough to have the freedom that you should have because your parents dont give you a chance to show them that you are ready for responsibilities and freedom. I believe that there is a time that you draw the line is when You give someone a chance to have that freedom, but they blow it by taking advantage and not taking that chance to show that person and to let them trust you with the freedom that they give you.
"Freedom" what an important word. when ever i hear the word freedom i think of our country and an eagle flying high but thats just me. Freedom is one on the most desireable things in this world today. its often why i fight with my parents. i feel as if i am not always free. Im always having to abide by certain rule like how long i can stay out for. I feel as if its my freedom to stay out as long as i want to and to come home when i want to. Alright..here's the deal. Freedom can mean good things and bad things. In a sense our country is based on freedom. We are somewhat free as a whole, but it also comes down to having freedom allowed from parents, teachers, police and so on. On a good note, freedom can help develop a young person by allowing them to make decisions on their own and to experience things at a young age. It can also put people in jail and send them on the wrong road in life. Certain people can't handle too much freedom and go and do something retarded, like one of the bad things I listed. However, if freedom is taken in pieces and handled properly, it can mold a human being into someone who has been there and done that. I would consider myself pretty damn free. My parents are mad cool. They let me learn from my mistakes. They realize that I have a good head on my shoulders also. My dad lets me party on the weekends and if I'm going to drink in our barn I have to make sure it's cleaned up and that I keep it under control. There have been multiple occasions of him ending parties mid way through and as I'm getting older, those occasions are rarer. He pretty much realized that I'm pretty responsible by now and has really become more cool with it. This is where the freedom part comes in though. I don't take advantage of it at all. If I were to take advantage there would be a bunch of retarded people breaking stuff and fighting. Then I wouldn't be allowed to do anything. My mom usually, on the other hand just lets my dad do the talking. She's cool with everything and always encourages me to try new things. Every time I'm sitting on my computer playing my guitar or meeting new people, she gets into it and likes to see me try new things in life. Freedom is merely the thought that one if free but by simply stating that one is free you are suggesting that at one point one can have their freedom taken from them or that they do not have total freedom. Freedom is a word used to make people feel like they are in control of what goes on around them and within their lives. People are never truly free. People wish for freedom but what they are wishing for is a world without order. People do not freedom, true freedom will no exist for hundreds of decades on this planet for no one understands what true freedom is. Anyone that experienced true freedom all at once would be so overwhelmed they would constrain themselves thus limiting their own freedoms.
I feel I live a life free. I live my life free of many worries and woes of many common people. I feel that if i truly wanted to do something I could. Freedom is important to me, but I know I will never be able to experience the degree of freedom I wish the world could experience. I do not question my freedom or put value on it as I have little control over freedoms once I have released all binds on myself.
As I said before to much freedom exists, giving anyone complete freedom and the drop of a hat would just completely dumbfound them. Giving people true freedom would be chaotic if possible. Most people won't even allow themselves freedoms. People will naturally put leases on themselves for what they think is "wrong" and "right". To little freedom is when someone does not let themselves be free, clipping their wings and bowing to themselves not wanting to experience life for what it really is.
I just realized no one wants freedom people just want to feel free. It's like when you tie a string to a bee and let it fly around it feels free until you tug it back. People don't care if they are free they just want to be able to feel like they are free because they know true freedom is impossible in their lifetime.

Freedom can mean different things to everybody, and it can also be related to different things. It can be about the way you think without having to listen to someone’s opinion, just because you are free to think the way you want to. It can be about what you want to do without having to tell your parents or ask their permission, just because you want to feel free to do whatever you want. It can be about the kind of cloth that you want, like and think you should wear, without having to listen someone complaining about that. It can be about silly things, like jumping in the middle of the street just because you feel like doing it. Well, freedom means a lot! I’m not going to say that I am always free, but most of the time. I am always free to wear what I like, to think the way I want to and some other things. I’m not always free to say what I want to say, because I know that sometimes I can get in trouble. I’m not always free to do what I want to do. Well, I guess no one is. Freedom is very important in my life. I think sometimes you just need to be free, do whatever you want, have fun and enjoy your life. Everyone should do that sometimes, just to feel free and be happy. I think happiness is one of the most important things that you need to live. That’s why freedom is so important to me. I would draw a line between when I’m free and when I am not, depending until where my parents trust me. That’s what my dad told me one day. I went to talk to him and ask why my mom and him let me and my sister go almost everywhere, are always able to talk to us about anything we need, are so open mind, because most of my friends always say that about my parents. My dad said that he gave me and my sister a lot of freedom, first to see if we would tell him if something wrong happened or if we did something wrong, or if we would always ask him first. He did that to see if he could trust us, and today, he knows that he can. That’s why I think that I am free most of the time. I always tell my parents the true, I always have a conversation with them if I’m having a problem with something. You can ask my mom and my dad anything about me, that happened to me and they will know. I always tell them, because they’re so open mind and trust me. My dad also said that if one day me or my sister lie to him, it will be really hard for him to trust us again and let us do what we want to do most of the times. I also think that if I haven’t a lot of freedom, and my parents didn’t trust me, I would never be here in another country doing an exchange.
Our nations freedom is about how now everyone has the right to say what they want. Also, because now no one is slaved and everyone has control of them self. Freedom to me is how you have the right to do what you want. I'm not always free because I have rules where I can do certain things and what I can't do. Even though I still do some of them. Freedom is important in life so you can learn how to be independent and to do whatever you want to. Yes there is a such thing as too much freedom. For example you can't always do what you want because of the laws. I draw the line where you have some boundaries. Because I could do whatever I wanted, but because something happened and my mom found out. She put some restrictions on my life. So, I don't have the same amount of freedom like I use to.
Freedom is something you are born with. Some people are born with different freedoms, which depend on the country you are from. Freedom is very important in my life. I like to go out and do what I want. Still, there are rules that need to be followed. The reason we have laws is to protect other citizens in the US. More laws that protect us the less freedom we have but we need some protection to a certain point. I can’t describe how freedom feels or how I know I have it. Its just seems like common sense but that’s my perception of it.
Well freedom to me just means to have no restrictions. I am not always free. im not always free because my parents dont allow me to do everything that i want to do, also, teachers, and people with more athority. Freedom in my life is very important because in certain areas of my life, i need freedom. Like religion for example. If i lived in another country then i wouldnt be able to follow the religion that i follow if it wasnt allowed there. There is such thing as too much freedom, like if your parents let you do anything that you want and dont do a thing about it. Sometimes parents let their kids get away with anything, and that can turn out to be a problem. You see people that grow up to be addicted to drugs, and live on the streets, cause their parents didnt enforce any rules and basicaly let them be where they are. there is also too little freedom. Everyone needs a little freedom in their life, and if people try to take away that freedom, then it can really make someone elses life difficult! Like the slaves, they were given too little freedom, and we saw how it affected their lives.
to me freedom is when you do when you want when you want as long as it is legal. I think you are always free unless you do something against the law and you go to jail then all your rights are taken away. i think your freedom is something that is very important and if it is taken away it can be hard to get back. my freedom is important to me because i like to be able to go out and if i got in trouble with my parents i wouldn’t be able to do anything. yeah i think there can be a such thing as too much freedom and too little. my parents have never given my too much freedom but sometimes i feel like they give me too little because they are both very strict but i know that they just worry about me and that’s why.
To me freedom means choosing the way u want to live your life, whether it is for the good or the bad it is your decision no matter what anyone else says. I know were not always free. For one we have to go to school for a certain amount of time so we are not free to choose about that, and we also have to listen to our parents and have to follow their rules and restrictions. Freedom plays alot in my life because if i wasn't free i wouldn't be able to play sports and that would totally kill me. Yes there is too much freedom like when a parent lets their child run around and do whatever they want without caring. There is also too little freedom though and that is when a parent wont let u do anything and there kids will start to rebel.
to me freedom means that you have the right to do what ever. some people are always free but others like myself are not always free. an example of always being free is my father. he says that he is always free because he does what he wants goes where he wants and no one tells him what to do since he is a grown man and his parents aren’t telling him what to do anymore and now its his turn to tell his kids what to do. an example of not always being free would be myself or any kid/teen/child. we are told when we have to be home if were out and we have to ask if we can do anything. freedom is very important in life. everyone has freedom and if you dont you need it and deserve it. yeah in a way there can be too much freedom and too little freedom. like some people may think they have all the power in the world because there grown or what ever but other people may have too little freedom if they are small or a young one
I believe that theres no such thing as freedom because noone has ever experienced it. There always limitaions for eveything no matter what wether its physical or mental. Theres always something keeping you from doing what you want to achieve or do.Isn't freedom suppose to be doing whatever you want whenever you want without someone else picking and choosing your past for you?
People go to war for their so called freedom. Put their lifes on the line and others die but still freedom is not achieved. So whatever freedom the fight for its freedom of their pride not the freedom we were born with and strive for.

Freedom to me is being able to make your own choices in life and learning from them. The best way that I can understand freedom is looking at the relationship I have with my parents. This may not be the best example but is the one that makes most sense to me. In my opinion I would say I don’t have a lot of freedom in my house because I’m never aloud to do anything. I’m not saying that it’s all because of my parents because it’s not. Between sports and schoolwork I almost never have time to do anything, and when I do have the time to go out I can’t get a ride from my parents because we live in the middle of nowhere. I think that there is such a thing as too much and not enough freedom because I see people who’s parents don’t even care if their kids went out to a part and don’t end up coming home until the next day. Then there is such a thing as not enough freedom like in my case where you don’t get to go out much.
Freedom to me is having the right to do whatever you want without having restrictions. Yet there are some restrictions that just everyone has to follow and they are the laws of the country as well as the state. I experienced my loss of freedom when I got sent away for seven months in upstate New York. I lost everything I had and everything I was allowed to do at home. It was military structured and there were bars on the windows. They told us what we could and could not do. That is the total opposite of freedom. In my eyes now that I live with my father I am somewhat free with some restrictions. Being free is extremely important in my life and not being able to be free hurt me emotionally. There is such a thing as too much freedom, its just you need to know when to draw the line.
Freedom to me is doing what you want when you please and going where you want to go when you want.No I'm not always free. I'm not free when my mom makes me stay in the house. I'm also not free when I'm being watched or being told what to do. Whether its being watched from a camera, a teacher, or a parent. Freedom is very important to me. If we didn't have freedom life would be boring and also messed up. Sometimes it's good for parents to take away a little freedom from there kids because if they don't some kids would take it too far and be out of control. Yes it is a such thing as too much feedom cause i know some parents that let there kids do whatever they want when they want and they be out doing whatever. That's because they have too much freedom from there parents. I would draw the line in between because you shouldn't have to much freedom but you shouldn't have too little neither.
WELL WE COULD FIRST START OUT AS WHEN I WAS IN THE BIGINNING OF MY TEENS I DIDNT HAVE ANY FREEDOM AT ALL THAT A TEEN COULD DO.fREEDOM TO ME IS WHAT A PERSON COULD DO FOR FUN AND TO ENJOY THEMSELVES WITH NO ONE HAVING A PROBLEM WITH IT.ALSO AN EXAMPLE OF MAYBE THE PRESIDENT OR GOVENOR SAYIG A CERTAIN PERSON NOT BEING ABLE TO WORK OR A STUDENT GOING TO SCHOOL THINGS LIKE THAT MY OPINION IS THAT WE SHOULD ALL HAVE A CHANCE TO WORK AND GO TO SCHOOL.IS LIKE BACK IN THE DAYS ABOUT BLACK AND WHITE PEOPLE AND SLAVES THEY WANTED FREEDOM.SEE NOW HAVING TO DEAL WITH PARENTS IS ALOT.I COULDNT DO ANYTHING BEFORE BUT ALL I DID AFTER WAS ASK FOR FREEDOM TO GO OUT WITH FRIENDS AND GO OUT AND ENJOY MSELF AND THINGS LIKE THAT.I MEAN FREEDOM TO ME MEANS A WAY TO EXPRESS YOURSELF AND DOING MANY THINGS SO THATS THE WAY I THINK FREEDOM IS ABOUT.

To me freedom means that you are entitled to do what you want with very little or no limitations as long as you dont put any one in harm. I dont think that im always free because as long as i live in my dads house he as rules that set a big limitation to what i can do. But once i get my owwn place i will have much more freedom then i do now. There is such thing as to much because if you have to much you might use to to put someone in harm or you might put your self as risk of something bad happeneing.
Freedom...what it means to me is that you can go about your bussness without anybody telling you other wise. If you want to go out you can if you want to go tto the movies you can nobody can stop you. No we are not always free like when you go into a store you have to abide by there rules an if you dont you get punished. If i am free i would no because there wouldent be any rules...well there might be rules but you wouldent get in trouble.Freedom in my life is verry important if i dont get to go out an do stuff or go chill wit my friends then that sux. Actually there is a thing as too much freedom i duno where it is cuz iv never expericenced it but i no people have alot more freedom then me. theres no thing as too little freedom because when your born you have rights witch keep you free so theres a start an anything beyond that is extra.
freedom means alot to me and basically everyone around, given that we live in the U.S. most people come here for their freedom. im just glad that i live in this country rather then ones were you cant pick your own religion or wear what you want etc. well it seems like im always free, but since we have laws i guess those are restrictions to our freedom. freedom is very important, like i said already, i need to be able to pick my own religion and be able to wear what i want, and if i coudlnt i dont know how well off i would be. yeah there is such thing as too much and too little freedom. personally i dont think i have too much or too little freedom, but i know of other people who are allowed to do basically whatever they want and that is just a little stupid of their parents. like i know people whose parents let them smoke or smoke with them, and that jus gives the kid the insentive to do whatever they please with no types of boundaries. and people with no freedom i think is a bad thing, because they most likely are locked up in a cage their whole life and once they get out of their house they go wild and want to do everything and anything they werent allowed.
The word freedom to me means that you are from to do almost anything you want almost anything. Me myself isn’t always fee because when I’m on punishment I’m not really allowed to leave the house that’s when I’m not free but most of the time I feel I I’m. Freedom in my life is important because I like that I can go outside, walk around, talk to my friends, play sports, and get an education people in some countries aren’t free like I I’m that why I appreciate that this is a free country. I really don’t think there’s a such thing as too much freedom because we are free over here and if people from other countries want to be free like us they have the rite to leave their country and come over here and become free that’s why America is know as the country with and most ethnicity because we have black, white, Spanish and any other I didn’t mention. I think the line between the two should be more towards the two little line because last they wanted to stop the Mexican people from jumping the broader when all they wanted to do was work to support their family’s. That’s how I fell towards freedom.
freedom can have many different meanings to many different people. freedom to one person can be a whole lot different to another. freedom to me means having the right to make my own decisions, do what i want(to an extent) and to just be able to, when not in school, make my own schedule. you are not always free though. you may be free to an extent all of the time but you are not always free. for example in school you have to follow the rules or do what your told or you will be disciplined. also in certaint situations, the law presides over freedom which makes things illegal. if you were free 100% of the time, nothing would be illegal because you would be free to do what you wanted. freedom is very important in my life because it allows me, for the most part, to have my life unfold as i want it to. there is such a thing as too much freedom. there is too much freedom when people become out of control and start doing whatever they want when they want and bring destruction to themselves and everyone around them. i dont know where to draw the line because there is a fine line between too much and too little freedom.
Freedom, just saying this word makes me giggle. Like most teenagers I fought for my "freedom" and voiced my opinion to my parents about letting me grow up and how I was responsible so many times I can't even count. When I was around twelve freedom to me meant being able to stay out past the point when the streetlights came on and being able to hang out by the lake and walk around with my older friends. I think a lot of my rebellion, dealing with my freedom when i was younger, had to do with me having older friends. My friends always had more freedom then me and I wanted the same thing. So I fought and fought and finally when I got some slack and some kind of freedom I got it taken away because I made a stupid mistake. Although that mistake made me grow up a little and realize that I had a lot of freedom, a lot more then most kids, and every time my parents gave me an inch I took a mile. I pushed and pushed until, in my opinion, i should of been locked down in my basement, thankfully i still have my freedom but I wouldn't consider what I have freedom. Freedom to me, well at least now, reminds me of slavery when a person had no rights at one point and were constantly told what to do, they had to ask to go to the bathroom but once they were free they gained rights. Not rights like having a 12:00 curfew or being able to sleep out when you want rights like being able to have the right to vote, to make a mistake without getting beat, that is freedom. What I have, the 12 o' clock curfew, the ability to go to parties and sleep out, all that is privledges I am already free. When I turn eighteen I can vote as a woman, if I get pregnant I can have an abortion, freedom of speech, that is my freedom. So occasionally when kids complain about how they never get to do what they want, they need to remeber what they consider to be freedom is reallt just priveledges because if they weren't free they wouldn't even be complaining about not getting to do what they want. As for drawing the line, everyone has a different point of view, I am very privledged when it comes to my "freedom" but I have no complaints either when it comes to my true freedom as a US citizen.
unlike some people i take freedom for granted.maybe because i got away with so many things that i think i can get away with it again and many more. to me freedom means i can do what i want when i want when i please with out bothering nobody. even thought that is not the case all the time because i am not free i live under my moms laws. her laws change every 2 minutes while she is makeing up a new one. i feels though that i am not free because i can't go any where i want without asking my mom first. then if she says no then i am on lock down at my house and if she says yes i can only go for 2 seconds.(it makes it no point of me going.) freedom is important to me because without it i wounldn't be able to do the things i want now but at this age wouldn't nessecarly say that freedom is important to me because i feels thought that i have no freedoom my mom tells me what to do, when to do it, where to do it and how to do it and as you can see i have no freedom. i wouldn't know if there is a such thing as too much freedom and too little freedom i think that i would reach that point when i am 18 years old.
Freedom, we all have freedom. we all are able to wake up and be able to wear what we want and say what we want. there are different kinds of freedom. the freedom we have with our parents and the freedom we have to be able to do what we want and not have strangers tell us what to do. Mostly everyone has the same amount of freedom unless you broke the law or are in jail. then u barely have any freedom at all. yes i think there is such a thing as to much freedom because if your parents just let you do what ever you want with as much freedom as you want we would make the wrong choices. i think everyone needs to be told when to be home or what your allowed to do as a kid/teenager. when your a adult you should be able to know how to use your freedom.
Freedom smiplly means when someone is free from something that is resticting them from something. To me, it means to finally be content with myself and where i live. I'm am never free, and i probably wont be free until i die, but that's how life works. Life sometimes consticts us from what we need or want to do. Freedom is somewhat improtant to my life, because if i didn't have it i wouldn't be able to write the things i write. But having too much of it can wreck someones life in the long run. There's is such a thing as too much freedom. Look around today, you can see it. Everyone just basicly does what they want. You can say the F word on family hour of tv now more then you could in the last ten to 20 years. Too little freedom,yes, but there really hasn't been any of that since like the 40's and 50' and maybe the 60's. You can draw the line smiply by seeing what is going on around you. If people can basicly do whatever they want then thats too much freedom. If they can't do anything at all then there is no freedom. I'm too younge to have experience in the lines of freedom. I dont have wisdom beyond my years if you know what im saying.
when people say that we are a free country i am proud but then again how free are we really?when they wrote the declaration it clearly stated that all man should be treated equally but they owned slaves.it took a long time for everybody to be treated equal but it shouldnt have took so long if men were supposed to be equal in 1776.but that was the past even nowadays idoubt how free we really are as a country.can we really go out and be free?me personally i feel open but nothing close to free.we as a country should be helped by the government not scared to death of it.freedom is definetly something that can be taken advantage of because it is really easy to take over and make this country a living hell.but there should be a little more if you ask me but not too much because we all have limits.
in my opinion, i am always free in some way. when i am at school i am not as free as i am when i am at home though. at school, i have the freedoms of the way i dress, the way i talk, and who i choose to hang out with. at home, i can do pretty much whatever i want. i still get the freedoms that i get at school, except at home i can go places. i can goto the mall or the movies if i want. i can also do more because in school we don't have much freedom during class, but at home i don't have anything to do. there are still rules though. there are rules at school and i have rules at home. they are so much alike in many ways. be to class at a certain time, be home at a certain time. being very alike they also have their differences. there are always going to be rules where ever anyone goes even if some places are less strict than others.
Freedom to me is pushed more towards responsibility. The freedom you get is your responsibility, to not only take care of it, but to earn it. You need to be trusted to get freedom from your parents, or a boyfriend or girlfriend. The word freedom has so much more to it then just to be free, there are responsibilities that come with it. You are always free in a scense, like as an american, you are always free, however, when you still live under the roof of your parents you have to live by their rules. You have to have maturity levels equal to how much freedom you get. Freedom is important in my life becuase it makes me feel like im getting older, and i can handle things, and the more i get, the more i know that my parents are trusting me, and im getting older. It also helps prepare me for the future. There is too much freedom and too little. You can give a thirteen year old all the freedom in the world, and they can completely abuse it and be in jail by the age 18, just by not knowing how to handle it. There is also too little freedom becuase some parents are way too over protective, and their kids are never going to know how to handle themselves when their on their own. I think that the line is giving a kid as much as they can handle by their maturity level.
Freedom is very important to me . It should be one of the main priorities of Americans today , should it not ? I mean , we DID fight many wars in our past to get where we are today . We faught and lost millions of men over the course of the years , and for what ? Freedom . In my opinion though , I'm not always free . No one really is . We're free to a ceartain extent , but we do have rules and guild lines we're prone to follow through out our every day life . For example , I'm most of the time never free , considering children under the age of 18 must obey their parent's laws and rules , now being 16 , obviously I still fit in that catogory . I think it's a good thing though , not being 100% completely free , because think of what the world would be like . People running around talking , doing , being , how ever they feel at that given time and place , wich could result in harm , or even death . But then again , not enough freedom , would dismantle everything we've ever faught to achive . Example: I was out this summer , at 10:00 , doing no harm to anyone what so ever , and since I'm a minor , and it was past 9:30 , the LAW states my friends and I were out past curfew , and we got arested . At the time , we figured this was pathetic , as most children would . We argued rights of freedom , how we should be aloud to take walks , and not get brought into the police station for doing nothing wrong at all . When I went home , all angered and upset at the fact that I thought this was crap , getting arested for being out , it DID hit me , that what happened actually was a GOOD thing . The law of curfew keeps people off the streets and in their homes , where if , BY CHANCE , they were dangerous , normal people would be safe . So I guess it's not THAT bad , having some restrictions to your freedom .
Freedom means that you are at liberty to be yourself and do what you want, with out limit; in the truest sense of the word, anyway. By definition, freedom is "the power to determine action without restraint." However, when I talk about wanting freedom, I mean from being told what to do(parents)and having strictly set boundaries. I want the freedom to make decisions for myself. Freedom in this sense is of extreme importance to me and part of the reason why I’m counting down the days until I can move out of my parent's house; I don’t have nearly enough of it. I mean, I don't mind rules, like rules at work or school, because its a small specified list of things which are not allowed, in order to keep things under control in a practical establishment, but its also knowing that when you leave those school or work grounds, that you can go and do as you please without having to answer to someone. But as long as we live in a civilized society, we will never be completely free, because there are rules and limitations- and a good bit of them are reasonable ones, but never the less its not complete freedom as long as they are in place. If we didn’t have them though, we would have anarchy, like New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, and obviously, that’s not a desirable exchange. Basic rules (i.e.: not being able to kill someone you don’t get along with, beat the hell out of people you don’t agree with, take things without permission) are needed so that people can coexist comfortably. On the other hand, laws that make it impossible for two women (or two men) to marry each other or that make it illegal for students to have sugar in school, and other stupid laws that put serious limitations, for no particular reason, on our freedom as Americans. Limitations that are set merely so that we can each live comfortably are important to have, and personal limitations are important too- like not allowing your self to binge on ice cream for a week, because you’ll get fat and/or very ill- but boundaries which are set to protect those with narrow outlooks or to protect a certain code of living that doesn’t apply to everyone, like not being able to marry people of the same sex -because the bible says its wrong, or because president bush doesn’t want to see it- or smoke pot in your own home, when the only person your going to be hurting is you; if , as a consenting adult, people want to give themselves lung cancer, hey that’s their problem, it is not however any of the government’s business. They should be able to educate about the dangers of it, but that’s it.
Freedom i think that freedom is being able to be yourself no matter what if your black, white, chinnese or any race. I think some places where people go there is not always freedom because some people in this world is very races and is cruel to people and thats not right. I think freddom is so important in my life because it makes me fell comfortable for when i go some where i dn't have to feel out of place and maybe feel like i have to be someone else to be treated right. I think freedom draws a line when a parent lets their child just do anything whenever they want because thats how bad things happen to young girls cause they believe they can do what ever they want.

wat th eword frredom means to me is that you can do what ever you want when ever you want. also i think freedom play a big part in everybody life, i say this because with out freedom a lot of people would be worthless. another thing is that its not wether you got to much freedom or to little freedom its about ho much responsabilty you have, because a person with little responcebilty will have way less freedom then a person with a lot of responcabilty.
